The Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade provides a safe place for boys and girls aged 4-18 years to belong, have fun and learn new things. We offer a varied programme of badgework, teaching children new skills and encouraging them to discover more about the world around them. With a calender is full of events such as fun days, sports competitions and outings our groups always have something to look forward to. In their weekly meetings, our groups enjoy a variety of games, crafts and sports as well as special visitors and trips.

The Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade is a children’s ministry which has been serving the Church of Ireland for over 125 years. Our mission is to extend God’s Kingdom amongst boys and girls and our Brigade badge, worn by our members on their sweatshirts and uniforms is based on the Armour of God. We provide our groups with a bible teaching programme and we encourage a strong relationship between our companies and their parish.

We believe that being a part of a larger organisation which has a structure is so good for children. As a part of the CLCGB, children are part of a worldwide Brigade family, as well as a smaller local family of Brigade companies, whom they have opportunities to meet on a regular basis. We hope that our groups are a place for children to belong and to find acceptance and stability as well as positive role models in their leaders.
